Seachem Equilibrium is a top-of-the-line water additive that has been designed specifically to establish the ideal mineral content for sensitive freshwater planted aquariums. Unlike many of the competing products on the market, this solution contains no sodium or chloride (both of which can be detrimental to the sensitive parameters of planted aquariums at elevated levels). Seachem Equilibrium is well suited for use with RO (reverse osmosis) or DI (deionized) water as well as any mineral deficient water in addition to raising the essential mineral/electrolyte content (General Hardness) of the water to both balances and promotes the overall stability of the carbonate hardness within the water column.

Seachem Flourite Red is a substrate of the highest quality. Composed of specially fracted stable porous clay gravel designed specifically for use in natural planted aquariums. The mineral-rich gravel is an attractive rusted red colour that is not chemically treated or coated and will not alter the delicate pH balances within the tank. The gravel is most effective when used on its own, but it may also be mixed with other types of substrates without any negative reaction. Gravel modifiers such as laterite are not necessary for the success of this gravel. Despite the substrate being pre-washed, it should be thoroughly rinsed before use to remove any residual dust. Small amounts of initial cloudiness are normal and will clear quite quickly. For added convenience, the bag features an innovative mesh bottom that enables you to rinse your gravel right in the bag! The long-lasting gravel is good for the entire life of your aquarium!

Seachem Acid Buffer is a non-phosphate buffer designed to carefully and quickly lower pH and buffer. It is created specifically for use in planted aquariums or for systems with very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae or cloudiness problem. Acid Buffer lowers pH and buffers between 5.0 and 8.0. As the formula lowers pH it converts carbonate alkalinity (KH) into available CO2 to the benefit of your plants. It may also be used to safely lower pH in marine water.

  • Seachem De*nitrate Seachem De*nitrate

    Seachem Laboratories Seachem De*nitrate

    Out of stock

Seachem De*Nitrate is a top-of-the-line filter media designed specifically to provide additional support to the biological filtration process. The media itself is an economical, natural, porous material sporting a pore distribution, shape and large surface area that encourages beneficial anaerobic nitrification within the first few millimetres of depth and anaerobic denitrification at the core. Additionally, the media helps to remove harmful nitrates, nitrites, ammonia and organics that can cause harm or even kill your aquatic inhabitants. Live rocks or reef rocks remove nitrate by anaerobic denitrification and Seachem De*Nitrate removes nitrate using the same process, except the efficiency of this process is magnified several folds by directing the water to filter through the porous filter media. Due to this process, excessive flow rates should be avoided, as they may impede the development of an adequate anaerobic environment to support denitrifying bacteria and as is the case with reef rock, anaerobic conditions are achieved by the porosity and the depletion of oxygen by the aerobic process at the surface. De*Nitrate is an exceptional media for aerobic nitrification as well, making it an ideal biological filter in drip trays, canister filters, sumps or even box filters. As mentioned earlier, it is important to note that at high flow rates (greater than 100 GPH), it will function solely as an aerobic filter and at slow flow rates (less than 50 GPH), it will function as both an aerobic filter and an anaerobic denitrifying filter. Suitable for use in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

    Seachem Laboratories Seachem Flourish Potassium

    1 review

    2 in stock

Seachem Flourish Potassium is a top-of-the-line potassium (50,000 mg/L) supplement designed specifically for use in delicate planted aquariums. Potassium is one of many vital macronutrients, alongside nitrogen, phosphorus and others, that are required by aquatic plants, with their absence becoming a limiting factor to healthy growth and development. In aquariums with low mineral content, potassium can be quickly depleted and cause unsightly yellowing in older leaves. Within the aquarium setting, the most easily obtained sources of potassium are potassium nitrate and potassium phosphate, both of which increase the levels of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and eliminate the ability to target a specific NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) ratio. Seachem Flourish Potassium is unique in the sense that this solution is derived from potassium sulphate, which allows aquarium owners to precisely adjust potassium levels without impacting the established nitrogen and phosphorus levels in the tank.
