Seachem Equilibrium is a top-of-the-line water additive that has been designed specifically to establish the ideal mineral content for sensitive freshwater planted aquariums. Unlike many of the competing products on the market, this solution contains no sodium or chloride (both of which can be detrimental to the sensitive parameters of planted aquariums at elevated levels).
Seachem Equilibrium is well suited for use with RO (reverse osmosis) or DI (deionized) water as well as any mineral deficient water in addition to raising the essential mineral/electrolyte content (General Hardness) of the water to both balances and promotes the overall stability of the carbonate hardness within the water column.
Seachem Flourish is loaded with an incredibly wide array of essential microelements, trace elements and other nutrients that directly contribute to the successful growth and development of freshwater plants.
This scientifically formulated plant supplement serves as a growth stimulator for aquarium plant stems and leaves, preserving their health and keeping your aquatic environment looking beautiful and lush. Along with vitamins and amino acids, Seachem Flourish is also rich in gluconate iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium, potassium, inositol, chlorine b12, biotin and other factors that have been determined to be exceptionally beneficial to aquatic plants.
Seachem Flourish does not contain phosphate, nitrate or other fertilizers that promote unsightly algae growth and is safe for all invertebrates. Enjoy a stunning tank brimming with natural plant life!
All plants require a source of carbon and Flourish Excel is a simple source of readily available organic carbon that directly benefits the growth and overall development of a wide variety of aquatic plants. Typically carbon comes from CO2, but it can also be derived from simple organic compounds such as photosynthetic intermediates, which are found in this formula.
Now, this isn't to say that using one would negate the other efficacy, on the contrary! Due to the fact that processes surrounding the production and development of photosynthetic intermediates occur simultaneously, aquarists are able to achieve substantial benefits when using both Seachem Flourish Excel in addition to in-tank CO2 injections. The combination of these two carbon-based additives is well suited for situations when continuing to add CO2 could result in dangerously low pH levels within the aquarium. Additionally, the solution has efficient iron reducing properties which promote the ferrous state of iron (Fe+2), which is more easily utilized by aquatic plants than ferric iron (Fe+3).
CO2 is needed to produce longer chain carbon compounds known as photosynthetic intermediates that contain compounds such as ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate, and 2-carboxy-3-keto-D-arabinitol 1,5 bisphosphate. In layman's terms, Seachem Flourish Excel does not contain these exact compounds, but ones that are quite similar, allowing you to bypass the involvement of CO2 by introducing already finished, structurally similar compounds to the benefit of your delicate aquatic plants.
Seachem Flourish Glue is a remarkably strong and versatile adhesive that rapidly secures moss and live aquatic plants to aquarium surfaces such as driftwood, rocks, and even gravel. This specially formulated cyanoacrylate gel bonds in seconds and provides exceptional control, hold, and durability in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
It works extremely well for planting bunch plants such as Bacopa, Cobomba and Hygrophila, and for greater functionality and ease of use, it can even be applied underwater. Seachem Flourish Glue is incredibly easy to use. Just apply a small amount to your moss or plant roots immediately before planting to enjoy secure, near-permanent placement and form. While primarily developed for aquatic planting, this versatile adhesive is also great for general-purpose aquascaping and plastic repairs for intake tubing or ornaments.
The glue has been packaged in aluminum tubes to maintain stability, as well as ensuring the glue will not dry up in the tube.
Seachem pH Alert is the perfect tool for anyone who hates testing their aquarium water! This unique colour-changing device is designed to be placed directly into your anywhere in your aquarium or filter to continuously monitor critically important pH levels. An accurate and reliable sensor will change colour reversibly to alert you of any potentially harmful fluctuations in the pH level ranging between 5.8 and 8.6. Simply match the colours to the corresponding colour wheel for results and readings.
When first used, the device may take up to 30 minutes to produce results, but thereafter results should be produced in approximately 10 minutes.
The device itself is small, clear, and unobtrusive so it won't detract from the visual attractiveness of your stunning aquatic ecosystem. It can be cleaned with a soft material, and for best results should be read under natural daylight. Visible fading or washing out of the colours indicate that Seachem pH Alert has been exhausted and needs to be replaced. With four times the lifespan and half the size when compared to competitors, this is the only pH monitor you'll ever need.
Seachem Purigen is a tool that every hobbyist, both beginner and advanced, should have in their aquatic tool kit. It is a scientifically formulated premium synthetic adsorbent that is not a mixture of ion exchangers or adsorbents, but a unique macro-porous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from both freshwater and saltwater at a rate and capacity that exceeds all other competitive products by over 500%.
The formula helps to control ammonia, nitrites and nitrates by removing nitrogenous organic waste that would build up and release harmful chemicals into your aquarium water column, negatively impacting all aquatic life within the aquarium. Though Purigen's impact on beneficial trace elements is minimal, it significantly raises redox and polishes water with unparalleled clarity.
Seachem Purigen's ability to clear haziness and polish water is unparalleled in the market today. Unlike other available competitive products which are just basic ion-exchange resins, this solution is specifically designed to be an organic scavenging resin and generally ignores simple elemental compounds, having an extreme affinity for nitrogenous organics. Nitrogenous compounds come from aquarium waste produced by fish, coral, as well as plants. The Purigen beads are uniquely spherical and macro-reticular in shape and the increased surface area provides an enhanced capacity with microscopic pores that increase its usable surface area to many times that of other products on the market, which are made of purely spherical resin. The versatile product can be used in a wide variety of filtration applications such as in a canister filter, media chamber, box filter, or any high flow area of a trickle filter.
To add to the already incredibly functionality of this product, Purigen can actually be regenerated to retain efficiency and effectiveness in the long term. As it adsorbs waste products, the beads will change colour from a pale blonde to a dark brown, nearly black coloration. Once it is exhausted, it can be regenerated with a solution of bleach and water. The bleach will literally "burn off" the organics that have been removed from the tank. Watch out for products that claim to be regenerable with a brine solution. That is the regeneration procedure for ion-exchange purposes. Brine solutions will not remove necessary harmful organics. While such resins have a limited capacity for organic adsorption, a brine regeneration process only replaces removed ionic compounds and it does not destroy large organic molecules that were removed, which is the primary function of organic adsorption resins in the first place.
Seachem Reef Glue safe and fast-acting cyanoacrylate gel that has been specially designed to glue and mount coral frags and colonies to live reef rock or ceramic plugs. As the coral frags themselves are extremely delicate, it is of the utmost importance to be able to safely and gently affix them to surfaces without damage and without them constantly falling off of their mounts.
This new and improved formula is actually 17 times thicker than competing brands, making it easier to control with significantly less mess. Furthermore, to make Seachem Reef Glue even better, the solution bonds within seconds, even underwater! With incredible versatility, the glue can be used in both freshwater and saltwater environments and comes with a no-mess cap in an aluminum tube to ensure the glue itself won't dry out prior to use.
Seachem Silicone Sealant is a top-of-the-line 100% RTV silicone sealant designed to seal and repair freshwater and saltwater aquariums. The formula creates a permanently flexible, watertight seal with a high tensile strength that won't crack, dissolve or shrink from the pressure or stress caused by the weight of water in your tank. The solution provides unmatched adhesion and comes in a clear or black colour in a 3 oz tube.
