Microfiltered, undenatured micellar casein is used as a unique slower digesting protein source. By using other fruits as the base, we were able to incorporate fig into the diet while avoiding oxalic acid. We have incorporated crickets and black soldier fly larvae as the main source of protein as well as grown mealworms to increase the omega fatty acid content. This formula contains more than double the amount of insects as our original Pangea Gecko Diet with Insects™ formula.
Pangea Gecko Diet with Fig & Insects™ blends a bit thinner than other formulas due to the absence of the thick consistency from banana powder, but geckos seem to like this thinner mix. It can be more difficult to see lick marks in the food bowls, so we recommend offering smaller amounts of food to begin with to see the food disappear.
